Bikey things this weekend?

I'm out and about on Saturday in search of some bbq...

Fan isnt kicking on in the KTM though so I better keep on moving!

I may have to go to Northampton for work soon so that is very useful. If the fan's not kicking in - thermostat? This is the current destination of choice:

Not sure - its registering the bike as getting hot and I get an error message with something linke 'fan failure' at the point when the fan should be kicking in but isnt... Any suggestions welcome... Its a Gen 1 1290 GT

Other than something like a bad connection or a break in the wiring, I'd think that the only possibilities are an ECU failure (unlikely?), a sensor failure, relay failure, or a problem with the fan.Any suggestions welcome... Its a Gen 1 1290 GT
On my old K100, for example, the fan had seized.
First step would be to see if you can turn the fan by hand. Second would be to connect a battery directly to the fan to see if it works. Third would be to use a multimeter or a test light to check if the fan connection is switched on when the coolant gets hot - if it isn't, then look at the relay, then the temperature sensor.
There's probably a YouTube video that will help.
