I have a Ducati Monster which has a common failure of cracks in the speedo & rev counter lenses

I've searched and can't find anyone who can fix them, the only solution is to change them for another set - which are too expensive as they only sell the entire clocks

I'm thinking about trying to cut the lenses out and stick new ones in but there's not much room for error, an 80mm holesaw would take the lens out from behind but will probably damage the front bezel in the process

I've looked for an aftermarket bezel to cover up the front but I'm struggling

Would a heated blade allow you to cut it out? More time consuming but potentially more delicate

If there is space behind the 'glass' you could cut a hole in the 'glass' (which I assume is some sort of plastic) slightly smaller than the existing bezel and put thin polycarbonate behind it. 1mm polycarbonate is cheap and tough.
You could cut the hole fairly roughly then clean with a drum sander dremel bit, w&d, whatever?

Peter Bond will be able to fix this.

"Ducati Monster RECONDITIONED TOP, WITH NEW ALUMINIUM BEZELS AND GLASS LENSES!! This was done to correct the well known fault of lens cracking which is caused by the original acrylic lens and plastic bezel expanding and contracting at different rates with heat and cooling. Since they were originally glued together at the factory this incompatibility only ends one way!"

No idea on cost but has been recommended.
