Evening all, I am looking at replacing my aged Go Pro and was wondering what people are using for on bike video footage. I quite like the Insta 360s but are they all they are cracked up to be? Also mount points, are bar mounts decent or tail? Any input greatly received.

Ive used pretty much all there is to use now (purely to record racing and trackdays)

My current ones are :

Go Pro 11 Mini Black Edition

Insta 360 X2

Insta 360 GO 3S

The Go Pro mini doesn't suffer the same overheating issues that has plagued them since the 9, it's able to record at whatever res you want, stabilization has been great, I use it to see where I can go faster etc during a lap and it works brilliantly for that.
Also it survived a 120mph crash, so it's durable.

The insta 360 X2 has been absolutely brilliant and by far my favourite camera to date, it can just do everything really. I'm able capture shots during a race that's not possible on anything else, the editing is really easy and intuitive, just a brilliant camera and one that I'm seeing used more and more often on the road and track.

The insta 360 GO 3S is my latest camera, again bought to capture racing, it's remarkable how tiny is it, we've designed a custom universal magnetic mount that fits inside any helmet and keep the camera locked it.
Obviously not quite as powerful as the previous cameras, but more than capable of recording great footage @1440p 50fps, ideal for vlogging I imagine and just recording on the public roads.

I've never used an action camera, but I have noticed that a number of YouTube channels that I follow have recently changed from GoPro to either DJI or Insta360 (not necessarily the 360° version) because of problems with the GoPros.

Some great footage there and the quality is impressive too, as is the riding. As I have no plans to return to racing sadly, the camera will be used for the odd track day but mainly for on road footage on longer rides out. I do think the Insta 360 is so impressive, but the Insta Go is so compact. What is the battery life like with that?
