European bike track camping.

Its been a long long time since I ever went to a race track in europe. I remember you paid your entrance and set up a tent around the circuit somewhere and waited to be robbed in the middle of the night.
Whats it like at places like Jerez? Do you just pay entrance and camp around the track with people doing burn outs next to your tent at 3am?
UK seems like its now ticket for race and ticket for camping away from your motorbikes.

Misano is such a short walk from the town you might as well get a hotel, then you can wash your kit and have a poo in an actual toilet.

Le Mans I understand from friends really is still the wild west in the campsite, so much so they sacked it off as you could get a tram into the city centre and not end up as a human sacrifice.
