Long weekend for some of us in the UK, so who's doing bikey things?

I'll be pottering in the garage on and off (with no real aim or direction hehe) and watching the British Superbikes at Cadwell on tv - always a treat and my favourite meeting of the year.

All being well I'll be waving goodbye to my 2019 H2 SX. It's off to a new home in Scotland.

Still not washed it since last weekend, it's been chucking it since then. With a bit of luck I'll get it washed on Saturday afternoon, possibly get a brief bimble in.

Weather looks like a washout Saturday, possibly ok-ish on Sunday, then yet more showers Monday. Typical August bank holiday weather!
A trip to Rye would be nice, but I'll be keeping an eye on my rain radar app...

I’ve got loose plans to go to Oulton for the CRMC. Depends on the weather though.

Saturday looks like a bit of a wash out weather wise but Sunday and Monday I'll be at Cadwell park watching the racing.

Should be an interesting weekend, it was pissing down over night with more rain forecast for Saturday so the track could be very clean which will make tyre choice and qualifying 'interesting'

Time to play the balancing act of spending enough time with the girlfriend over the bank holiday whilst also getting in a day doing bike things.

I would like to get over to the Owls Nest in Llandovery which is about a 350 mile round trip from home (about 40 more than I've ever done in a day).

Other option is maybe Cheddar or a preserved Railway...... Decisions, decisions.

Sounds good. I have never been to Oulton but from what I've seen on tv it'll suit classic racing nicely.

I've not been to any classic or vintage racing this year at all. Used to go to Cadwell for the BHR/vmcc September meeting every year but last time I went there was barely half a dozen actual vintage (well, pre-34 which is what their oldest class is) bikes racing. No idea how they've managed to get into that situation when you look how successful VCSS meetings are and how big their grids are.

Someone is coming to view the Ducati this evening which might result in one fewer bike in the house (but perhaps more chance of fixing the others that need parts).
Night shift tomorrow so no riding then or Sunday.
I might pop out on the 250 on Monday weather permitting though.

As exciting as it gets I will be fitting a USB socket to my new (to me) Z1000SX in preparation for our trip to Scotland in September.

I managed to ride out last night to our local bike meet with my boy on the bike and my dad on his Forza350 in front. It was lovely having 3 generations of our family enjoying bikes at the same time. I started out many years ago as pillion on my dads bike and it was like a 'click' in change of generation last night. Give it 30 years and I'll be following my son and grandson on my, er.... Goldwing?

Forecast looks shocking in Scotland. Might see about going out if it's light rain rather than yellow warning stuff, as the evenings are noticeably getting shorter.

I work English hours so bank holiday on Monday - that said it's the Edinburgh festival so if I go through to that, I'll go on the train...

Wife's away on a short cruise this weekend, the world is my oyster.

Weather dependent I may head out for a jaunt to N. Wales or the Peak District.

Sadly I’ve just sold my bike so this weekend I’ll get one last ride delivering it to the new owner. Then start work on a new garage before I can buy another bike to put in it!

I’m up in the highlands of Scotland, unfortunately without the Bike, with the family having a holiday.

The roads up here are amazing; great surface, very little traffic and superb scenery.

Seen loads of bikes from across Europe.

‘Thunder in the Glen’ tomorrow which, apparently, sees around 4,000 bikes pass through.

The only bikey things for me will be limited to getting the panniers out of the roof ready for going to Europe for a week from the 31st along with giving the bike a check over.

So far so drippy.... however! Spoke to mechanic today, ended up visiting, my old bike is nearly back on the road. Would've been today if it wasn't for those pesky (sadly missing) chain links!

Bought road tax to celebrate.
