New to tubed tyres
Discussion
Picking up a 2015 CB1100 over the next few days, white one with only 4000 miles.
I understand it has a strange sizing of wheels (18") and is quite difficult to get tyres for. I have only ever had bikes with tubeless tyres. 110/80-18 front tyre and a 140/70-18 rear tyre
1. How the hell do I find tubed tyres? Looked on t'internet and it is not very obvious where to find them. Any ideas what I should be looking for or sites that do them?
2. A few other CB1100 owners use tuebless Bridgestone T32's. Now I'm not 100% sure whether they are using conversion solutions on the wheels to make the wheels tubeless compatible, OR are using tubes WITH the tubeless tyres. Any ideas? (the forum isn't great tbh)
Many thanks

I don't think running tubeless tyres with tubes is an option, aren't tubed tyres smoothed out on the inside? Tubeless tyres would puncture the inner tube, I believe.
Are you sure? I have spoked/tube wheels and have TL tyres on my bike; I did quite a bit of research (including advice from the Continental website) and fitted TL Contis and they have been fine.Gassing Station | Biker Banter | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
