Oh my gawd....... finally a Panigale that looks gorgeous... very D16esqe and now that double sided swingarm...
Yes it's going to be prodigiously expensive but I might actually need one before I'm 90 and might not like superbikes anymore....

And perhaps make one in Yellow ??cloud9

Don't mind the swing arms but the integrated, body coloured wings are nasty imo.

Can't deny it sounds epic mind, even the little bits like tyre temp sensors integrated into the dash.

The wings and headlights give it the look of a depressed catfish.

Each to their own.

Doesn't look a patch on a 916 but maybe I'm showing my age.

Prefer the old Panigale, the 1299 was peak styling for me. The wings, headlights and double sided swing arm are a step backwards IMO.

Looks nice other than the daft wings, im sure they could offer a wing delete kit for an extortionate sum smile

I prefer this swing arm, the wheel often looks odd to me on the single sided.

I prefer the front of the previous shape without the wings.

I was in a dealership a couple of weeks ago and we were discussing this. The swing arm is lighter and 30% stiffer than the single sided swing arm on the V4; it's a no brainer. This thing will be an absolute weapon on track. Don't mind the looks but I also think 1299 was peak panigale styling.

The front is a bit Admiral Akbar. There's a tiny little horizontal slot between the headlights which looks like a tiny alien mouth. If you don't like the red wings you can replace them with the same in Italian chrome (carbon fibre).

But anyway, whoah that swingarm. I'm meh on the single sided swingarm. I wonder if the upcoming R will have the production swingarm, one which is fabricated a la the 2003 999F or if they'll make something like the production type which is forged.

I like it but then i'm a Ducati fan boy anyway although for me design wise, they peaked with the Supermono but that is just my own personal taste.
Would i own one of these? Hell no, even on a track i'd be so far out of my league it would be silly. If i had squillions in the bank, i might be tempted by a few bikes to dot around a big house but i don't so it's irrelevant

It's still a very nice thing though

For me, the 1098 or 1198 were peak.

I used to like 851/888 era bikes, but nobody born after 1980 will ever want a bike with a square headlight.

I think the back end is a cop-out, all road bikes need a number plate, everywhere (?), so why ignore reality in the design?

Aside from the wings, I don't like the modern trend of having odd little plastic covers/areas which are not basic elements of the biike, e.g. tank, fairing, seat cowl or soemthing obviously functional.

Last time I was in a Ducati toyshop, the bike I liked most was a 600 Pantah.

Christ! I see the V4 S version starts at £29,995, and that's before you've nailed on any carbon tat and bought your Ducati-branded leathers.

Or paid the c7k for the exhaust, these are now tye GT3 / GT3RS of bikes. They aren't really road bikes anymore, just track bikes that are road legal, and I love that.

Wings not doing it for me.

For riding on the road a Tuono would be better (for me).

Too expensive (for me) to use as a track day toy.

Good comparison - exciting, exotic, expensive. Mostly ornaments, some used on road or track.

Like most of the expensive sports bikes in the age of the super nakeds.
