It looks like Silverstone have gone digital with the MotoGP tickets this year. With less than 2 weeks to go has anyone got the tickets on their app?

I'm not seeing mine and Silverstone are not responding to questions on email.

OK just had an update from Silverstone - the tickets will apparently be available this week.

Here's hoping for good weather !

I'm going to wait til closer to the time, and if the weather is good pop down for the Saturday. Seems the best day now you get the sprint race included, and considerably cheaper than the Sunday.

They were digital last year too, mine appeared around a week before.

Nothing for this year so far.

This will be my first Moto GP - can't believe how expensive the tickets were, hope it's worth it.

We got our tickets today !!

Really looking forward to it, camping at Woodlands is usually good VFM, though facilities are never as good as F1 and it's a long walk up to Luffield...

To save starting a seperate thread..

I'm tempted to book a ticket for saturday or sunday and travel down on the motorbike. Is the motorbike parking fairly secure down there or known issues with thefts etc?

There are tens of thousands of bikes there, you'd have to be bloody unlucky

What would be the advice on getting there ? Car parks are meant to be chaos for the F1, assume its a little better for MotoGP.
Where do they park you if you arrive by bike ? I guess its on grass and a bit of a trek from the circuit ?

From memory there is somewhere to leave your helmet and leathers.

For anyone who didn't get tickets it looks like it will shown live on ITV.

There are various campsites around the circuit that have parking at a reasonable trate, getting in is easy and simple enough, getting out I'm sure is fairly busy (the one time we went by car was the year it was rained off so we left early and got straight out).

Traveling by bike is definitely the way to go, you park right next to the circuit gates, it's free and you'll get in and out so much faster as you are permitted to use the right hand side of the A43(?) up to towcester.

Another question - are the tickets ONLY available via the app? Is there no way to download them as a PDF and print them off at home. I really don't want/cba with another app for a single event I go to every 2 or 3 years.

Bike parking is in the hard standing car parks by the main gate just off the A43. There is paid storage available for helmets and kit.
Traffic is no where near as bad as it is for the F1. Fewer people attend plus a large number of those that do arrive by bike. For the F1 the A43 is closed and used as part of a one way system. That is NOT happening this weekend for Moto GP.
