S1000R clutch slipping?
Discussion
Hi all,
2019 gen 2 S1000R, I think I have isolated this problem to 4th gear, when you get to 9k it sort of jumps to 11k and sounds different. Doesn't do it all the time, and is hard to replicate, but if it does it once you can usually let the throttle off and when you come back on it does it again. As you can imagine it's risky to try it in 5th or 6th on public roads, fairly sure its not in gear 1-3 or at other engine speeds. Anything to worry about?

Hmmm. Surely if it was clutch slip it would do it in the other gears although its probably more evident in higher gears as you wont be accelerating as hard without it trying to wheelie?2019 gen 2 S1000R, I think I have isolated this problem to 4th gear, when you get to 9k it sort of jumps to 11k and sounds different. try it in 5th & 6th and give it a handfull (make sure TC is turned off) - if its slipping, should do it in these gears too?
