What's your favourite helmet of all time?
Discussion
I have a bunch of different helmets for different riding situations, but the one I love the most is my AGV Corsa R. It's very light, very aerodynamic, so comfortable, and has an amazing field of vision.
The only thing that let's it down are the PITA visor change mechanism, and the fact I can't get a photochromic visor for it. It's my 'go to' helmet as long as I know it won't be going dark when I ride.

Wow... now there's an idea... I've only ever bought two lids over the course of the past few decades, but I am aware that many bikers own several. A mate has a whole room dedicated to his bike kit, much to the upset of his missus. Been given plenty of old ones over the years, that were good for falling off in fields or painting with Maltese crosses or Motorhead logos.
Mine would have to be my current Davida (something or over) open face, with its small shell... my only other option would be the Guardian Imola 500 that I bought when I was sixteen and spun round on head when I had my hair cut...
The one I disliked the most was a full face I was given back in the days when streetfighters were all the rage, looked like a cross between a moto cross lid and something a Star Wars storm trooper would wear, field of vision was so narrow it was like looking through a letter box!

I bought this the other day
It's been really nice on the whole 1 ride I've had it on for. Haven't installed the pin lock yet but the warm weather has kept the fog at bay for now.
For a cheap one, the Bell NV Qualifier I had up until recently was good. No pin lock but the anti fog coating on it worked fantastically well. Ended up taking back under warranty and they offered me credit in the end so bought the Scorpion.

Although I have a couple of newer helmets, my favourite remains my Arai Phil Read replica which I’ve had for about 12 years. Arai quality means that it’s still in great nick and is still really comfortable. It also happens to perfectly suit my Speed Twin.
I know I should ‘retire’ it, but I’m yet to see anything that I think would make a suitable replacement, so it continues to get occasional use.

Slightly off topic, but was it you that posted up pictures of a new Bell race star helmet a few weeks ago? Hate full face helmets, will only wear open face, but i know I'm in the minority.
I tried an open-face helmet once and it terrified me. I guess some of it hinges one what you're used to, but having used full-face helmets for my whole life, I just couldn't adjust to that feeling of openness.Exasperated said:
