Anyone got any experience of these guys? Good, bad, indifferent, ugly? They have 4.7/5 Google ratings from 392 reviews, which seems pretty good to me?

They have something I might be tempted by, but they’re diametric opposite end of the country, so I can’t just pop down for a look.

Without wanting to go all GG repetitive, if I bought from them unseen and had it delivered, I’d be covered by DSR, yes? But would probably have to pay the cost of getting it back to them?

I haven used them but there’s nothing that flags for me. Long established and company accounts look healthy.

I’d arrange a call to discuss the bike in detail with them and make it clear if anything they tell you about it isn’t as so when you get it that you will be returning it.

If they get cold feet that’s your answer. Otherwise go for it.

Cheers, yeah, I’ll do some proper DD if I decide to go for it.

My son once put a deposit down on a bike there which was described as minty. It was anything but when we saw in in the flesh. Very disappointing.

TBH I’d only seen the photos on the phone and it looked good, but now I’ve seen them larger, it’s not that great at all - seems like lots of chips and scuffs. Think I’ll pass.

I’ve used them for KTM servicing, and also sold them a KTM too, as I didn’t want to deal with an auto trader/public sale.

I have had no issues, and always found them friendly enough to deal with.

Met a chap yesterday who bought a Tuono from them and had very good service - disclosed all the faults etc and sorted a dodgy switchgear without any quibbling

Have dealt with them for about 25 years and really can't rate them highly enough. A proper family owned business who go out of their way to look after you. Just off there this morning to have new tyres put on my KTM which I bought from them last September.
OP if there is something you are interested in, let me know and I can have a look for you in a couple of hours.

Thanks robinh, I’ll drop you a PM.

Ah, can’t do that!

Well it’s no huge secret, and funny enough given Krikkit’s comment above, it’s a blue & white ‘07 Tuono. I used to have one the same and thought it might be good to have again as a sunny day bike, but in the pics it looks like there are several marks around the front side of the tank, scuffs and chips on the seat unit, etc. Whilst I wouldn’t expect perfection on a bike that age, it looked slightly un-cared-for. (Mine was immaculate in the past, which doesn’t help!). But if you could take a quick gander that would be great.

Edited to add: I’d only looked at the eBay listing but on their own website it does say it needs tidying, so fair enough.

I will have a look at it shortly for you. Have seen it in the showroom a week or so ago and thought it looked tidy. Will have a proper look and report back asap.

Just here now and had a look at it. Spoken to Justin who is one of the family owners of the shop. It has just been reduced to £3995 and looks in good condition for the age. Not pristine but nothing terrible at all. A few paint chips, corroded fasteners but the condition reflects the age at 2007. The Akra cans on it sound lovely even with the baffles in. Tyres look to have plenty of life left and no sign of track use. Not a big fan of the ASV short levers but that is a personal opinion. That aside, it looks honest and I trust Colwyn Bay Motorcycles so think it is a safe bet.

Have only bought new from them on the KTM side of the business. Nothing but good things to say.

Everything dealt with via email quickly inc. finance side of things.

Bike delivered when they said it would be.

Was very happy with them.

Always had great service there. A good, honest, family run establishment. Ask for Boo or Alfie wink

They were selling a bike I was interested in. I did some elementary checks and found it had been clocked by about 25k

I informed them of this, they did nothing and kept advertising it with the low mileage

Months later I presume multiple people had done similar and eventually they advertised it with "incorrect / unknown mileage" rather than the actual 50k+

I wouldn't pi$$ on them if they were on fire
