I have just received these Tec Parts Pannier rails for my Speed Twin 900 which I would like to attach one Lomo Pannier.

Being that the rails are horizontal top and diagonal bottom, has anyone attached a Lomo bag?

There's two horizontal straps on the bag that would work with vertical tubes but seeing how they attach to the bag, I can't figure how you'd rethread them for horizontal tubes.

My original idea was to use Decathlon bicycle panniers that would quick attach/release to the top tube but the bags are deep enough to be far too close to the hot exhaust pipe.

I don't want to use throw over bags, the idea was one bag that could easily be detached for just a bit of work stuff, packed lunch, bit of shopping.

Thanks for any help, cheers.

Don't know if this is of any use to you but I have the Hepco and Becker C bow panniers fitted. They detach in seconds and are a doddle to fit. It might be easier to invest in a set of these instead.

Yours look good but I've just looked at their site, quite pricey. Many hundreds for the frames and bags.

The pannier rails pictured are £50 the pair and the bags I've been looking at are £40 to £100.

Just want something to pop me lunch in.

I might just stick one of the bars on and get the cheap waterproof cycling pannier and see if I can make the attachment higher in order to clear the exhaust.

Thanks tho, if I ever go touring I'll keep your set up in mind smile

I'd always assumed that rails like those TEC examples were intended to be used with throwover panniers.

I'm thinking that you are correct. Probably be sending them back.

Hi, I also have a Bonny and have considered the LOMO bags.

Have you watched the video on the LOMO website:

https://www.lomo.co.uk/products/motorcycle-adventu...

I am sure it will work, let us know how you get on?

If you're only looking to carry smaller stuff, just put a Kreiga bag on the seat. No rails needed.

You can fit the Lomo bags to those Tec rails but they will not be " quick detachable ". I have just done 10 days in Europe and one of the other guys had them on his Street Twin. He used some really large cable ties to fasten them to the rails plus the strap that joins them together over the seat, so obviously not removed for the whole trip. He put his clothes in carrier bags inside them, so just took them out of the panniers each night. Not an ideal solution but worked for him.
