London specific insurance question

Apologies if this is a bit niche, does anybody live in central London and park their bike in the secure residents car park under their apartment building?

I'm moving back into town (Bermondsey), from out in the sticks, and the initial insurance quotes for parking in the car park under the building are eye-watering. eg £5k per annum for fully comp on a Ducati Supersport worth £10k, me in my fifties, clean licence, 6 yrs NCB.

Can anyone suggest a company or broker that may be worth a try, have tried Bennetts and Flux?

They aren’t especially worried about it getting stolen from the home address it will be the implied risk of it getting lifted off the street in London.

You’ll no doubt have an increased theft excess for claims away from home.

It’s a London premium which I think you’ll struggle to chop significantly.

Sadly it’s just a London thing

Unless you have a garage it’s going to be expensive, and it’s a Ducati in London so that’s even worse for you.

I would try the comparison sites as when I used to live in central London they gave me the best quotes, although I did have a garage

Many years ago a friend of mine had her R6 stolen from a setup like you describe, in Bermondsey. The thieves just carried it up the stairs from the car park.
