Helmet button catch thingy

I was doing up my lid whilst out on the bike and I couldn't locate the button catch to secure it once its went through the D-brackets. It's broken off it turns out.

The lid is out of warranty but its a only a couple of years old and fine otherwise so I want to repair it. Can you buy a kit or a new button for this problem? I see there is straps for sale but I assume these are stitched in, I really don't know. Has anyone had this problem.

If you can measure the other side you might get an identical one, but the best bet is pull the remaining orphaned half off the strap, then rivet on a new one:
