In-laws are planning a family trip to Madrid next May for me, Mrs TC and her brother and partner. They won't accept any payment for the week away as they just enjoy us all being together for a week so will cover the accommodation and flights etc.

Since iv no expense other than treating us all to a meal out one night and using my bbq skills on the other evenings, im pondering shipping my Triumph down to explore some of the local areas/ escape for a few hours biglaugh

Had a quick google and nothing seems to pop up that'll give me a rough cost.

Wondering if anyone has transported a bike from the UK (North Yorkshire) to Spain/Madrid area and has any suggestions?

It seems there are several motorcycle rental places in Madrid.

I wouldn't bother, you can take your own gear and hire a big ole bike there.

For eg, we are hiring a T120 in Tenerife for a few days later this year. We shall be taking our own gear.

I was thinking of renting a Triumph in Tenerife when I was there Dec/Jan, as I have a Speed Twin 900 here at home but the prices were £100 a day.

I wanted one sitting outside my apartment for the 35 days I were there laugh

£3500 vs the £650 I paid for a car to do the same.

Still I'm there again soon so may get one for a day or two.

Did the place provide gear? which I'd imagine is a bit manky.

They do supply gear but we will be taking ours, as we don't fancy potentially manky gear.
