Long story short, last time I ride was just over 10 years ago and returning to motorcycling
set my eyes on 3 bikes
Triumph Speedmaster 860 (EFI), Yamaha Bolt , Yamaha Midnightstar
Speedmaster
Like: Triumph heritage, big community for customization
Dislike: Premium of triumph heritage (they cost about the same as newer yamaha Bolt), Parallel Twin (at least it is 270 crank)
Yamaha Bolt
Like: Yamaha bullet proof reliability, 883 look alike (always a fan of sportster), newer machine and ABS, V-Twin, belt drive
Dislike: The factory pipe is too quiet and 2 in 1 just not as good looking as Speed master 2 pipe, not as good looking as a real 883
Midnightstar
Like: Slightly cheaper than both, very good looking cruiser,
Dislike: Chrome (nightmare to look after), floorboard
I have not sit on any of those, as nearest 1 is 70+ miles away but according to Bike ergonomic, Midnight star and Speedmaster seem to seat more upright, and Bolt will be more "nake bike, street bike" sitting
They all seem very beginner/returner friendly, low seat height, although heavy, weight down low
Any riders been on any of those could share some experience on those bikes
