Have a couple of trips in Europe lined up for this year, and one of the organised tours I'm doing requires me to have travel insurance.

Probably should have it anyway.

Just wondering if there are any companies that could be recommended, that specifically cater for motorcycle touring.

I just wondered if maybe I got a "standard" travel insurance, made a claim and they found I was on a motorcycle, it may give them a get out because it's classed as a "dangerous pastime" and would give them a get out.

Any advice much appreciated.

We’ve used Carole Nash over the past couple of summers, as much as anything to avoid the point you make about dangerous pastimes.

This is a common question on the Old Gits trips. Make sure that the cover does not exclude motorcycles and that when motorcycles are allowed it's more than 125cc.

I use a StaySure annual policy. I've not claimed so can't comment on that part but the policy is pretty good for the price.

Nationwide Flex Plus account has European AA cover and travel insurance - as long as you ride your own bike from home.

Great for me - cover big bikes, trackdays, and pre-existing health conditions
