I was thinking something similar regarding number boards watching the MotoGP - no nostalgia for fag ads. Bagnaia is number 1 but the black on red makes it barely visible. If he had a white number it would be much, much more visible.

They should never have got rid of the number boards in the first place.
I'd also do away with all this lucky number rubbish and they get allocated the number based on previous years final positions in the class and rookies can have numbers issued from after the last rider that was there the previous season.

I wish they would ban Monster and Redbull logos on helmets. Ruins so many designs and just so boring now (as the logo is largely in exactly the same place on so many helmets).

I kind of agree that the Champion should be compelled to run the number 1, but I actually like how riders create a 'brand' with their number. The likes of KS34, CS27, JL99, MM93 and some combinations even go way beyond the sport... VR46 smile
