Young off road Motorbike rider
Discussion
My 8 year old lad has a KTM SX65 we have access to a field, so he now knows how to ride, I have a KTM 350 EXCF and I want to go trail riding with him. t
There only seems to be options to go motorcross (not the direction we want).
Ideally we want to go enduro riding, but I dont wan't to go straight in to a WOR event with him.
is there anywhere in the vacinity if cheshire we can go, i'm happy to pay, but just want access to ride with him and roam some land.
Thanks
Steve

At his age, I think you’ll be looking at organised places. He’s too young for green laning at the moment.
Have a look here.

Have a look at Wern Ddu ?
Some of it is very challenging, but there is enough more straight forward stuff. It doesn’t have the same terrain as green lanes or most WOR events. It’s a bit rocky (being a quarry) which is hard on the bikes and (and on the rider). But worth a look.
I took my lad on some of the more open WOR RED play days when he was learning and he had no bother. Some of the more open ones have loads of space to keep out of peoples way.

They won't take mx bikes, regardless of how old you are. Some of it is very challenging, but there is enough more straight forward stuff. I would speak to Steve Ireland and go to a wor event, pick one that has a kids race too, I'll tag along with you if you want, I'm in Cheshire.
He can race or do play days with Edge Offroad. You can ride with him as chaperone for free.

The WOR events are what I was looking forward to, but didn't know whether he would be up to that yet. i'll speak to Steve Ireland. thanks for the inputSome of it is very challenging, but there is enough more straight forward stuff.
