The perils of online shopping.

I've a new helmet on order and also a micro tank bag.

The helmet arrived as expected on Tuesday but the integral sun visor wasn't working (lever thingy not levering) so it had to be returned and now I'm waiting for some sort of indication from the seller that they've got it back and when to expect its replacement.

Tank bag despatched on time and to be delivered yesterday by a courier company I've never heard of. The courier never arrived, delivery rescheduled for today before 11 (at which point I had to leave the house) and again didn't arrive, but I am now the proud owner of a card saying they missed me and will try to re-attempt delivery tomorrow.

Want shiny thing NOW.

I'm terrible for this.

I'm so used to next day delivery I can sometimes be put off buying something if it's a week or so.
My Dad always used to take the mick because he was of the generation where you would post an order to a company and might receive your item that same month if you were lucky.

Currently 4 months in to buying a house. WANT HOUSE NOW

To be fair, if you put that on a tshirt I'd buy it. Relatable.

Once upon a time, if I wanted a new computer game, I'd have to go to the post office, get a postal order, fill in the form for the item, post it off and include a return address packet sometimes, and then wait potentially weeks for something untraceable to just arrive.

That was the epitome of patience. Buddha can do one.

Was it a modular helmet? I had that turns out the sun visors are locked in the up position, move the slider and all OK.

Yes - modular.

Maybe I was being witless, but there was no movement to be had from the slider at all (if by slider you mean the little nubbin thing that you use to move the visor up & down).

Good luck, Mine completed 2 weeks ago, but it took over 4 years from offer acceptance eek between us and the seller there were 6 solicitors involved - 1 retired, 2 were sacked and legal action started against one!

I'm not moving again.

Ah bks - tank bag arrived. It's a SW Motech one with clever magnetic two-part ring attachment thingy.

It was promoted as coming with the ring attachment included - which, for the part that attaches to bag itself, it does.

For the other part that attaches to the tank, not so much.

I've now ordered the tank ring which won't get here until next Thursday.

Why is my life so HARD?
