EU3 exhaust on EU5 bike
Discussion
I have a Ducati Scramber Icon Dark so a later EU5 model. 2021.
I’ve been looking for a scrambler style high exhaust. For the looks and a little more noise (but within the realms of sensible and not antisocial).
The Termi option, with map, is £2k fitted! Has to be a dealer as the map is uploaded from their computer. And as it’s a Termi, is sold and marked as off road use only, as there is no catalyst. I also don’t like the convoluted routing of the rear cylinder pipe, making one cylinder have a far longer runner length than the other.
Zard and QD both do options with good routing, both with catalysts, but marked and homologated to EU3. With the catalyst I’m hoping that there would be no need to remap, but I know EU5 run pretty lean.
Fit of the hardware is exactly the same between years. Would I come unstuck come MOT or with insurance with it marked EU3? It still has a cat so I’m happy il be keeping Captain Planet happy. No other option for me in that respect.
