I had a similar issue with my H2 SX. I tried a getting a gel pad added to the seat which helped a bit but the best solution is an AirHawk seat cushion. Just make sure you inflate it correctly. Many people over inflate them.

I have no idea what a TTSE is, but Cool Covers also work really well if they make one that fits your bike.

I had the same problem and used a local company to me (Holy Goat Custom Motorcycle Seats) who improved the padding in my original seat. I went for memory foam but he can do gel as well. So much better afterwards and really good value.

This - had the same issue as you, 150miles max till I was feeling the pain. After using this I've done several 350+ mile days in relative comfort. Worth every penny...

I've started making my own

I had a KTM ergo seat with gel and it was so hard I thought I couldn't make it any worse - I removed the gel and just used some packaging foam - it was far better !

After that I started playing with a few others, nothing too fancy just changing foam grades and minor reshaping of the foam

Just started on my KTM 450 to make it wider for comfort and lower

I have the same Trophy and have enjoyed touring on it in recent years, its just sooo comfy as well as handling far better than it should. Easily the most practical bike ive owned in >30 years, I wish they would do a new version of it, but I guess adventure bikes are what is selling these days....shame.

I use a cool covers mesh cover, at least for most of the year, it adds more springy comfort, is cool on hot days and your bum does not get so wet if it does rain. Downside is the seat heater does not work with the cover fitted (you sit on the seat and then the cover presses the button and switches it off), so I remove the cover for winter months.

You can see seat cover in this pic, takes a few mins to fit or remove, https://www.coolcovers.co.uk/

I got the seats on my 1250R done by Tom Hurley with memory foam and medical gel. Fortunately I live near enough that I could just drop them off.

My OH was complaining about numb bum and guess what…she’s still complaining ☹️

I think that’s probably a her problem than a seat problem tho. We used to have a GS so I think she was a bit spoiled.

thumbup I bought mine a few years ago in a February when it came up for sale, 2013 with with just 7k miles on it and like a new bike too...such a bargain of a bike and perfect for holidays. Previous owner bought it new for him and the missus when they retired, they did a few holidays on it but then he gave up riding and it just went for MOT each year last few years.
