Good evening all,
So, after having my engine rebuilt, refitting it, sorting out an overflowing carb, I started it on premnix… and it started and sounds sweet!
Second start up I put it in gear and gingerly let out the clutch. And nothing. No movement. No drive. Nothing.
I checked and rechecked the clutch adjustment and it seemed ok.
I went for a coffee and came back further for further fault finding.
And I think I found the problem… I hadn’t fitted the drive chain.
Will let you know if that fixes it!

Made me chuckle. Reminded me of a similar time when I could not start my bike for love or money. Helpful neighbour, seeing my plight, came over and kindly turned off the ignition kill switch. bangheadsmilesmile

Clutch basket locking washer - if it's folded up in the wrong position, it stops the clutch outer from sitting back.

Had this problem with a rebuilt TDR250 motor.
