Clearing out my shed the other day and I found my Kreiga US 20 in a plastic crate in pretty good condition with a load of straps inside it.

I think I bought it around 2009 when I had my Street Triple.

It would be pretty useful on my current Speed Twin 900 but I can't for the life of me work out the strapping, pictured.

Not like me to not keep everything unless I left something on the bike when it was sold in 2015.

Going from memory on my old US20 that has now been ebayed, the strapping goes under the pillion seat and connects to the female clips on the bag itself.

These look different to the straps I had though, mine had a loop system to fit to hard points on the bike and stowed away when not used.

Youll get approx £80 on ebay for the lot I think

edit - I think you'd only need two of the straps

I've not fitted one of these to a Speed Twin but as as poster above said it looks like you have the complete set of straps and fit as mentioned.

Kriega updated the strap and loop system a while back and you can switch to the new style by getting one of these kits:

Going by the short female straps, and the extra straps, these could be extenders if the standard straps are too short to go around whatever the bag is strapped to perhaps?

I used to have a US20, I probably still have it stashed in the shed somewhere.

From memory, and I don't know if this is the correct "official" way of fitting, the key is that the straps that go under the seat are then fed through the small, fixed rectangular 'loops' on the edge of the bag before being clicked into the female fittings on the bag. This will need the male fittings removing from the straps to allow them to be fed through the rectangular 'loops' before the male clips are then refitted. Make sure you route the straps through the male clips correctly or the straps will simply pull out under a little load.

I hope that made sense and when I've used this approach the US20 on my pillion seat has been secure and stable at autobahn speeds.

Ah, that'll explain why all the instructions I looked up had the hooks, which I didn't remember having.

Standard post 2012.

Thanks for the help folks.

That makes sense.

Seems the original loop-end (metal triangle things) are missing then OP

The short double female ended straps at the top of your picture are used to secure the underseat straps if you're using the bike without the bag, saves having to remove the seat to remove or replace the straps.

They came about after I suggested to Kreiga that they make them to save all the seat removal faffage, they sent me the first pair ever made free of charge, every other bugger has had to pay for theirs hehe

Genius smile

I remember now requesting those and Kreiga sending them out to me.

So it just basically two straps under the seat attached to the bag.

Use the female/female when bag not being used.

No idea what the other two straps are for? A short male/female and a short male/male.
