There are a few out on track. The live timing seems slow to build though. There is a link in the page I posted but its slow to build.

Is Bulega about to deliver a surprise. As at 16:30 UK time he is 1.1 seconds faster vthan Alex Lowes in 2nd WSBK Bike and faster than Stefan Bradl who is there on a Moto GP bike

With the new rider & bike combined weight they have added 6kg to Bautista's bike.

BMW all looking pretty good, with that many test riders they bloody well ought to, Lord only knows how much they are spending!! probably still not as much as Ducati!!

Which is only about the difference in weight between a sprint race and a feature length race volume in fuel, so not a massive penalty

I'm currently dealing with a nerve injury myself (thankfully not in my neck and not from a crash like Bautista) and the doctor just casually dropped in to conversation that pain/weakness/tingles etc can take months to fully disappear. You can't always look to deep in to testing headline times (especially with rookies and satellite riders who aren't testing parts, just getting themselves up to speed) but Bautista would have to be concerned being that far down the timesheet and still having issues from the injury.

According to Honda, they are also having to add weight to the bike to meet the minimum weight limit.
As Bautista said, in the grand scheme of things it won't make much difference to the overall performance but it does make braking a bit more difficult and some corners are a bit more problematic.

On recent test evidence, could be an interesting season with more than just the three usual suspects at the front of the field, the upcoming Portimao test could throw up a bit more information on how the season could unfold

First day of Portimao test is looking ominous for non Ducati fans, Bulega currently Fastest from TR and JR with VdM, Bautista and Locatelli all within a second of his time, TR 2 tenths down and JR a shade over 6 tenths from his time.

Bulega fastest, TR 9/100ths down and JR just over a tenth down, Gardner next best at a shade over 3/10ths down with everyone up to Alex Lowes in 10th less than a second down on Bulega's time

yep and without knowing the full details, it isn't looking too good for Taz or Adam Norrodin 5.5 and 9 secs respectively off the pace. Could be any number of reasons of course.

I think all this time BMW just needed that top line rider to point them in the right direction, VdM is okay but he doesn't have that last few % and Redding has been lacklustre since he came to WSBK, no doubt proving someone on here right when they said he couldn't set up a deck chair.
Toprak is arguably the best rider in WSBK right now though and i think you could have put him on the Honda and he would be right up there at the front of the field.

Taz did 2 laps yesterday and they weren’t at Jerez. Fingers crossed it will come together during the season, but not the best start.

To put times into context regarding who's actually going for it and who's testing different things not showing their full form would be this.

13th Tito Rabat - Puccetti Racing Team - 1:40.709

The Puccetti Kawasaki has been dog slow, as has Rabat. Even the MIE Hondas beat them last year.
