On the advice of the motorcycle-riding manager of my local 'outdoors' shop, I use beeswax or beeswax-based products. Temporarily improves finish and water resistance, apply every now and again. There's loads of different ones, think I have Granger's which is one of the less fancy ones.

For many years my boots, and the rest of my leathers, have been maintained using Dubbin.
Feeds the leather, improves its waterproofing and helps restore faded colour, black Dubbin on black leather.

And I've tried Beeswax and various other new miracle balsams they don't compare

Renapur is good for conditioning - I use Nikwax for cleaning, which is OK. Alpinestars make a lot of their boots from Lorica (synthetic leather), including the Supertech. But this is the correct answer, I use it on my jacket and other boots. It’s cracking stuff.
