So assembling my constand bike dolly from Santa, and…
The choc assembly diagram shows the bracket flanges going outwards, but it then is too wide to fit in the deck.
The deck has square cut holes for the choc.
If i mount the brackets to the choc with flanges inwards, it does not work as the square holes do not align transversely (choc is too narrow)and irrespective only two holes would be in the right place and the bolt heads for the wheel bracket means it doesn’t sit properly on the deck.
The separate deck assembly drawing shows the choc sitting on the deck flange, but there are no holes in the flange.
Seems like I have the wrong choc or brackets.
I could drill holes and mount the choc to the deck flange, but it is 4” high and worry that it will be difficult to roll the bike into and out of the choc.
Any suggestions?!
Thanks.

I suggest you ask the manufacturer before you start drilling anything!

After several minutes contemplation, I figured that the height of the choc wouldn’t make any difference in pulling the bike out due to the way the wheel sits in the choc.
So huff it, puff it, stuff it…. Got the drill out…

Definitely not right and I’d be careful of the bolts being the wrong way around and ripping into the side of the tyre and wheel.
It looks like you’ve got the right angle longways brackets the wrong way around and it’s gone south from that point.

Thanks!
The right angle brackets can be fitted in two orientations only… flange in or flange out.
Flange in just doesn’t work… deck holes do not line up, caster bracket bolt heads stop the brackets from sitting correctly on the deck… and it’s impossible to get to some bolts when it’s in place.
So with what i have got, only choice is flange out and mount to flange of deck.
Anyway all bolts / heads 1”-2” clear of the tyre… and it looks right to me. Bike seems stable too.
