2024 Kawasaki ZX4-RR
Discussion
Thanks for posting, I hadn’t heard about this release as we’ve been busy with our house.
The 40th Anniversary colours look fantastic and take me right back to my teens.
Back in the eighties I wanted a ZXR more than my next breath, finally bought a 750 H2 in 95. There’s space in the garage for 1 more bike or maybe trade my CB1100RS……….

I'm quite small so should fit perfectly, when I sat on one at the bike show it seemed to fit me ok.
I'm really hoping it will take me back to the days of 2-strokes (I had an RD350 YPVS F2 back in the day). I know it won't have the smell and the noise, but am looking forward to thrashing it to the red line (over 15K) and not going mega fast.
It is a bit of a mad purchase, having already recently got a Triumph Street Triple R, but I couldn't resist the colour scheme and the thought of it being so rev happy.
Anyway, my £200 deposit is with them and hope in the New Year I get a late Xmas present ;-)
Wishing everyone on PH a fantastic Christmas and 2024

Good work! I reckon they'll be popular, I loved the era of the 400s and 250 two strokes. I'm really hoping it will take me back to the days of 2-strokes (I had an RD350 YPVS F2 back in the day). I've just been off looking at the old ZXR400s on eBay thanks to this thread. Luckily I don't have space

It’s like man maths, you can always find the space :-) hire a garage from the council :-) I've just been off looking at the old ZXR400s on eBay thanks to this thread. Luckily I don't have space

Maybe have a word with Colchester Kawasaki, as MSS, which is part of their dealership, is getting about 25 or so to supply into the New Superteens class as BSB, so may be able to source extra
Thanks Newbury Kawasaki said it is pretty likely they will get one, so will wait until the New Year and if they can't will reach out to Colchester.I've been told Newbury Kawasaki are actually owned by the manufacturer so my thinking is they are much more likely to get one.

I’ve got a deposit on one of my dealers 40th anniversary zx4rr’s too. They have been allocated 2 & both now have deposits on them. I’ve been waiting for this bike to arrive all year literally & loved it when I finally saw it in the metal. It looks epic in the anniversary colour scheme & I think once they start the race series next year there will be some good upgrades available in the future. Can’t wait for the test ride once they have a demo in spring.
Riding position is good with the bars a little higher & reckon I can also do a bit of commuting on it which is a double bonus as my other bike runs way too hot on a summer city commute. Seat height & reach to bars was also good for me as I’m a right shorty.

Is yours now confirmed? Hopefully mine will be in January... I'm a right shorty too, but tried it at the NEC bike show and fits me perfectly.Riding position is good with the bars a little higher & reckon I can also do a bit of commuting on it which is a double bonus as my other bike runs way too hot on a summer city commute. Hi Pete. Yes mines confirmed. One already had a deposit so I quickly put my £100 down to secure the other one. Deposit is refundable if I’m not happy after test ride in spring. I’m sure I will be though! First brand new bike for me.
If you’re worried about losing a slot check autotrader for who’s advertising heritage colours as in stock, ring & put a deposit down. I was lucky as popped into my local to ask & they had 1 left. They did confirm that each dealer is only getting 2.

Had a gaze through Chris walker’s window , I thought it maybe just what I needed after not having a bike for 20 yrs , but I couldn’t shake the thought in 6 months I’d be looking to change for bigger cc , did it once with a 600 & regretted it , lost ££££££ , so looks nice , though not special , looked like a smaller zx10 r ( one parked a few bikes away ) to my eye
So I don’t think for me , but hope everyone who gets one enjoys it
