If its for the TT then have you paid the balance yet, or just the deposit? Steam Packet in my experience will allow you to remove and will refund any extras you've booked like seats or cabins. So then its just the deposit you're losing. How you go about transferring a booking prior to the balance being paid I've no idea. They do let you extend your booking, which is what I did in 2009 when I had an op and couldn't make the TT so I went to the Manx instead.
