Anyone go yesterday?

Wondering if it's worth a trip this year.

Watching with interest, I’m always disappointed when I do go, but always still have the urge to go lol

I'm similar.

With the fuel, parking and tickets It's not a cheap day out by any stretch.

Still feel like I'm missing out if I don't go though.

Harley Davidson have now joined the Piaggio Group (Guzzi, Aprilia, Vespa etc) in not attending.

Still going for a blokes day out though!

I went first time in a few years.
It was busy, too busy for me, the usual stands where busy, lots of fawning over the second cumming.
The dct bit of Honda was busy - perhaps an age thing.
It was ok
I don’t see much point in just sitting on a bike in a show with loads of people watching when I can go to a dealer and do that in relative quiet and test it
but it was good to see each manufacturers range
did appear bigger than previous years
Didn’t buy anything, internet is still cheaper

Went yesterday. Wonderful day around some equally wonderful bikes. Not immediately in the market to change my bike, which is a good job, as how would you even begin to choose!?

Going tomorrow for the 1st time in about 5 years.

I'm old enough to remember the pre internet days when there were bargains galore, you came home laden with brochures to drool over and didn't feel like you had been fleeced for parking your car.

For the last few years, a group of us have have jumped in a car and toured our local bike shops.

By Monday night I will either be a convert or vowing never to go again.

I’m giving it a miss this year, it’s a long and expensive day out now for what isn’t a great show. I’ll continue to go to other shows instead from now on.

The past couple of years I've managed to save enough on new kit to more than offset the ticket price which made it worthwhile.

Does anyone know if Arai are offering their free helmet polishing service at the show?

I’ve been most years with the exception of 2021 where the COVID entry requirements looked a little painful. I went last year and it was okay, although I didn’t get to ride the bike I wanted on the off road course. Also I didn’t do a test ride as I was held up in traffic and arrived late for check in.

There definitely seemed to be less stands last year than in previous years especially in relation to clothing and accessories. I’m not as interested in biking as I one was and will probably make it a bi annual event going forward.

Went to the Motorhome and Caravan show last month. It was several times the size of motorcycle show and we paid £9.99 to get in. There must have been multi millions of pounds worth of stock there all brought at great expense. My wife had sorted out the tickets and as we arrived I suddenly blurted out ..."have you bought parking as its a fortune of you havnt" ...:its in the price" she replied....I just havnt had the heart after that to go to motorcycle live and pay top dollar for an inferior product.

I'll happily pay twice as much to look at shiny bikes, rather than have to look at caravans.

Good example of how much MCL is mugging people though when it's £43 just for entry and parking. As said above it's too expensive a day out with fuel.

We share the fuel & parking with a full car.

Ticket, parking, and fuel I’m £100 in before coffees!
Heh ho, it’s a day out smile
