Upgraded seat

Good evening,

I have a 2013 R1200RT and looking to make the standard seat a little more comfy.

I am keen to keep the seat heating elements.

Custom Motorbike seats can build on top of what is already there (thanks for the POC from a VFR1200 thread) but are there any other options that people recommend?

I got my 1250R seats done by Tom Hurley.

Memory foam and medical gel in the original cover.

To be honest it doesn’t feel much better, possibly a complete reshape might have made more of a difference.

Get an Airhawk or similar, makes a huge difference and you can take it with you onto your next bike.

Honestly, just get it reupholstered/an insert. It's SO MUCH easier than fannying about with airhawk/beanbags/sheepskin.

200 miles yesterday on my VFR and I no longer felt like I had piles. I'd usually be in agony at the 100 mile mark.....

I pushed out the boat for a Bagstar for my Z1000. Expensive, particularly with high EU custom charges, but all-day comfy.
