Resin Driveways and side stands
Discussion
Anything that isn't concrete/brick or slabs I always put the side stand on a piece of wood.
Asphalt, resin etc can soften in warmer temps and can be easily imprinted by the high pressure applied by the small area of a side stand end foot.
alternatively, you can get plastic side stand pucks or even an ice hockey puck will work to put the foot onto and spread the load..

I have had a resin drive for over 7 years now and have had no problems at all. No sinking and no marks. The only problem I get is a bit of moss underneath some overhanging trees which gets cleaned off with the pressure washer every six months. I don't park the bike under the trees anyway.
