Hi all

Recently got myself a new to me toy, R1 Big Bang and wondering what the best website was for modifications to the bike if any as it cosmetically isn’t perfect

Thanks in advance for any suggestions and/or ideas!

What sort of modifications? Do you mean that it’s a bit scruffy? Or that you want to cover it in anodised tat and delights like a nasty tail tidy, micro indicators, iridium “flip” screen and all that shizzle?

I’ve a latest shape R1 and my “modifications” are a genuine seat cowl and removed pillion pegs/mounts (not insured to carry pillions anyway), ASV adjustable levers and an Evotech tail tidy, which is basically a tucked up, shorter version of the factory item. I’d not do anything else but that’s me.

Plenty capable enough, i would spend money getting it back to as mint and stock as possible, if I were you. rare bike in that form!

Not sure if I can post pictures of the bike on here, it’s got some modifications already on it but I’m struggling to see what’s stock and what’s not stock!

It has the aforementioned tail tidy and a carbon race can !

Thanks that’s what I am thinking of doing, the motorbike’s colour is a rare one as well I think white and red 2009 cross plane Big Bang R1 which is already nice enough

What riding you do will have the biggest impact on preferred mods.

Yep, sadly. Rejoined the TRF recently and was very disappointed to learn that they have binned their forum.

None of them seem to understand how f**king sh*te Facebook is for discussion and managing info.

P.a it’s not the exact same one, as close as possible but the one I’ve bought has more carbon bits on it along with a mini plate tail tidy … will upload pics when it’s delivered !

I loved it. I've had every R1 model and I've found this to be the best road bike. Mine didn't stay standard for long though.

I had a re worked rear shock, K Tech fork springs fitted into a Gold set of forks, Akrapovič Cans, tail tidy and a higher screen.

I forgot to add after market adjustable brake and clutch (standard length levers) and Renthal sprockets
