Well that was an entertaining qualifying session, some names you would expect at the front arent - Ducati’s and a particular BMW - and quite a few names at the front that aren’t normally, kawasaki’s, yamaha’s and a few Hondas.

Could be an interesting race later and tomorrow.
Today is on Eurosport 2, tomorrow is live on Quest apparently

New tyre that they all have to run, obviously suits some more than others.

Surprised to see some names off the pace.

So far as i can work it out, the ducati's work best when they are able to turn, get on the fat part of the tyre and drive out of the corner, whereas the kawasaki's, yamaha's and honda's all work better on the side of the tyre apparently as does the BMW. So possibly no surprise at one or two names being slightly further back but Brookes is a big surprise

Come on Max Cook!!

This is a fantastic race, first 11 very very close together, some new names towards the front and making some geat moves along with some of the riders who've been a bit lacklustre so far this season.

Cracking race yesterday.

Also, a huge shout out to Boothy finishing 8th in the F900 heat race. Seriously impressed.

Go on Max Cook again, along with Nesbitt too. Young Superbike novices doing so well at this meeting.

3 exciting races this weekend.

That final lap crash between Kent and Kennedy looked awful, can’t recall the last time I saw a rear shock collapse like that?

Yeah makes you wonder if the welds for the shock mount broke but that was a BIG crash eek
But yep, lots of good races especially the Supersport races and really good to see some of the younger riders taking it to the more regular front runners

Love Thruxton. Always great racing.

O'Halloran reminded me of Rossi in his pomp the way he sat back and then came through mid race. Don't think he's going to have enough to take it to Bridewell at the other tracks, but I hope he does.

With Cadwell, Oulton and Brands the remaining rounds, i just don't see the advantage being taken away from the Ducati's now. Thruxton is an anomaly for the Ducati's due to it's layout and they never get the chance to use their style around that circuit -or at least the V4R doesn't anyway - but it's quite a good run in now for the Ducati riders, especially if O'Halloran has another nightmare Oulton like last year.

But what has happened to Brookes? He was fighting at the front the first few rounds, now he is just going backwards. Is it the TT effect? Or have FHO got a significant problem with their setup?

young Spud Nesbitt looks to have grabbed that Honda well and truly by the scruff of the neck. Some cracking rides.

Is Nesbitt the local lad? He's the rider a commentator said the Marshals were cheering on?

Yes he has and so upset when he slipped off in race 2 but he did well to avoid a big accident.
Spud Nesbitt was out to prove a point

I'd love to be Bridewell's tractor dealer ( i'm to far south for him ) i recon if he wins the title i could convince him he needs to spend his winnings on a grass forager wink

Both made themselves look very very good this weekend, Cook could maybe have done with a bit of luck in the second race but that's racing but he gave everyone notice that he is going to be a force to be reckoned with. Nesbitt had a cracking weekend and fair play to both of them, if they are the caliber of youngster coming through - see also Stacey, Bourne etc - then BSB is going to have some very bright prospects very shortly
