This is a matching numbers U.K. 1976/7 bike.

Brings back great memories of 1978 when my mate had a DT250, so always had a soft spot for them.

Awesome. A mate in SA had a DT360 and moved it on for a yellow DT400 when they came out.

I rode it a fair bit as an 18yr old. Loved it and the Suzuki TS400.

Really great torque laden bikes.

Health to enjoy it.

Smashing.

I had one of those in white / red - a 175 variant. One of my favourites.

I grew up with the 175’s of that version. Also had a short play on a 250. Best looking of all the stuff ranges over the years, you have a stunner there.
Rather that than any new off roader.

They weren't ever really an off roader, were they?

Of course they were.

But the reality is, most dirt bikes are “Chelsea enduros” anyway biggrin

Gorgeous! I always fancied one of the 80s Suzuki TS250X but they are super rare now.

Just checked my info and I had a '78/'80 model (monoshock) as a field bike as a kid.
loved it and had some huge fun on it but it was the bike I had my first properly fast and frightening crash on. I hit a 1meter high grass bank/ramp between my school's rugby fields, flat out in top, 2 up without helmets. eek
I still get goosebumps today thinking about that one. I swear I have never flown so high or so far unassisted, and still remember thinking mid flight, "this is going to f&^kin' hurt....
I still see the snap shot in my head as I went over the bars in mid air and upon landing (still hanging over the bars with my groin on the headstock, yup, it really did hurt but my pillion came off worse. 20 mins later we were back on our way, a little chastened by the escape....
or the day I looped it on the farmers field opposite the school, pulling a huge roost which then gripped and saw me on my arse in a second....

Happy days....

The 175mx was the best of the range as an off road bike, the 250,400 were too heavy, the 175 was the clubmans enduro bike .

The MX was a different beast though, no? Monoshock?

My 175 Enduro had a low front mudguard (as they all did I think) and was more a trials looking thing.

Mine was like this. I wish I still owned it!

Yes the mx was the next model and a monoshock , I’ve owned a 125 twinshock and a 400 twinshock ,the 400 was a rarely seen model in the uk .

They seem pretty sought after ATM.
