Not normally my thing, but I thought it'd be a good idea to get for riding with the O/H. So she bought me a Fodsports M1 S Plus for my birthday, but they were unbelievably bad. They were fine pairing, but completely inaudible above 40 mph, and the headphones were utter agony to use inside a lid.

She bought them as they can pair up to 8 people I believe and have a range of 1000m, it was no where near this. Naturally this has really put me off getting them again if I'm honest. My head was thumping using them for a short ride, it was actually quite dangerous trying to shout out over and over again, they were completely pointless unless you were at walking speed around town. Perhaps these were a broken set as at one point when we got off the bike and repaired them, I could now hear the O/H and rather loudly, I had to turn them down it was so loud in fact. But the second we set off, after re-pairing them again they were useless.

What do people recommend. They must be,

Audible at speed, have multi rider connect 4 min, and be comfortable to wear.

Get a Cardo mesh system with JBL speakers, it's all you'll ever need.

Cardo Bold. The slim has noticeably less range.

We have this set up on the Old Gits trips and it works well.

I had Cardo Packtalk Bold used with the Old Gits and it was brilliant, 8 hour battery life with constant music and intercom, charged in about 2 hours, the voice activation worked amazingly well given how small it is, how long the battery lasts and the environment it's working in and it was easy to pair with phone and GPS. On long days on my own I carried a small USB charger in my tank bag and if I stopped for lunch, I could get enough charge into it in 30-40 mins, to add another 2-3 hours of use.

Currently got the new Cardo Edge and it's possibly slightly louder and definitely clearer, but basically the same.

If mine was lost or stolen I'd definitely buy another immediately, despite Cardo's apparent inability to get their voice control software to stop turning on the radio when you say something completely different !

Edit - just to add that at speed, on motorways at 90/100mph the music is still audible even with earplugs in and the intercom works well at maybe 400-500 meters and at up to 80mph-ish in a reasonably quiet helmet, is still intelligible.
