Hello All

Picked this up on Monday night, over the moon with it. Suits me perfect for riding around where I stay, it's a proper hooligan of a bike but suits me perfectly.

I have been into enduro bikes and trials bike for a few years now(check my other thread) Currently got a Sherco Factory ST300 2018

I did dabble in road bikes for a while but people were trying to kill me where I live by pulling out infront of me etc so I decided having a proper road bike is not for me, I was a fast rider initially but having scraped people off the road when it's gone wrong it slowed me down (Retained Fire Fighter) as when it goes wrong the outcome is generally not a good one.

GSXS750

GSX400 Import

Gas Gas EC250

Road Legal Honda CRF Enduro + 97 250

Tried a WR426 but it was a pig of a bike
2019 YZF250 Road Legal it was nice enough and good fun in the woods
2018 CRF250 was purely MX and it was good fun but I'm not fit enough for a MX track haha.

My new one - KTM 450 Six Days 2012

Akrapovic exhaust
Excel Rims
Talon Hubs amongst other fancy parts
It's got low mileage/hours on it as well.

It came with boxes of spares, new MX wheels with enduro tyres on them.

I have been out on it every night since getting it after putting the wee ones to bed, so much fun to ride and so snappy.

Nice bikes.

Supermotos are great in small doses, on country back lanes, or sweeping A roads, other than that they become a pain in the arse, literally, pretty quickly.

They also do get a bad rep as you only need to look on socials to see lads ripping through parks etc on them.

I'm lucky up here loads of nice back roads where I stay, I tend to go out for around 30mins a night to be honest and that's enough for me. It's just great fun, really enjoying it.

Will venture into the woods with it in winter I think but it does feel too good for that haha. It's so clean.

So I have been busy pottering away with it.

Bought an upgraded brake kit from 260mm to 320mm for the front - It already has brembo calipers so have changed the brake pads to suit.
New rear disc as well with pads
New rear axle blocks as the old one are looking tatty
Reservoir covers
Oil cap
New graphics as I have a new set of plastics for it so might change them, I do like this look tho.
Contemplating doing a tyre change as well.

Been putting some miles on it and really enjoying riding it, power delivery is sharp and it's an all round fun bike, not sure I will ever venture into the woods with it tho so may sell the offroad rims/tyre package.

I love my 525SM as you, I take it out in the evening for a quick thrash around the lanes

It'll be easier to sell it with the dirt wheels - usually easier to sell as an enduro bike and sell the road wheels separately

So I have been carrying out some upgrades that were not needed haha.

Standard front brake is 260mm and I have upgraded this to 320mm - It's brembo calipers on it.

New shiny oil cap, brake fluid covers but the most impressive one has to be the front light upgrade. Now has a DRL and much brighter LEDs in it, I don't do a great deal of night riding but took it out late last night and was very impressed with it.

Next on the list is I am going to fit rear indicators on it, the loom is there and the bulb in the indicator on the dash so I have bought the switch loom (£16 and a pair of LED indicators.
