CBR650F with akrapovic exhaust.

Took me a while to figure out what to get, but once I'd heard one I knew it needed to be an 4 cylinder which was comfortable enough for commuting and everything else and had ABS, which narrowed it down to a few different Hondas but the F seemed to tick the most boxes.

Loving it so far, it's sooooo smooth, makes my wife's Ninja 650 feel like a tractor in comparison.

Full service and some other bits to get sorted next.

Only thing I'm not too keen on is the LCD dashboard - physical dial for rpm is much nicer imo.

Had to google to see what it was like. For anyone else here you go:

I have to be honest that I prefer dials all round, particularly for speed.

Not because I'm a luddite, I just find that its much quicker to get an idea of how fast I'm going from a dial than a number...but then at the same time I prefer the numbers for the exact speed! I quite like it on cars where they have the extra mini screen in between the dials which has options for what is displayed, I often set that to speed.

I suspect you'll get used to it quickly enough though.

Enjoy.

That’s a nice looking bike and being a Honda I’m sure it will also be bullet proof.

The rpm display is also a band which is quite hard to read imo, especially when I'm trying to use all of them!

Love my car display with an rpm dial, speed dial and the mini screen in the middle I can set to temps, speed, mpg, GPS etc, can't stand the trend of LCD displays in all cars now - cost cutting bs

Snap! Sort of, I have the unfaired version but I believe only lower bars make the difference. A good choice but I would say that. I bought a 3 year old one in 2021 and it's still in excellent condition with 9k miles on it. Even at 6 ft 2" I find it comfy enough.

It came with a Puig screen on it which really helps reduce buffeting at speed but makes it slightly worse at lower speed. rolleyes I presume it's metallic white (?), sparkles in sunlight. smile The only negative I have is the lack of a centre stand, but it's better on fuel than I expected, 50 mpg is easily achieved.

Up until last month I had a CBR650F, same colour. It's a really good all-rounder, I used it mainly for my own enjoyment but it was a very adept commuter, very easy to ride and did me very well for my first couple of years riding. Enjoy it
