Motorcycle paint repair
Discussion
After a moment’s inattention, I’ve managed to damage my bike. It’s my first ‘misadventure’ in43 years but I’m still cheesed off. Luckily the damage isn’t serious but I can’t find anybody willing to give be a reasonable quote to fix it.
Chipsaway have said they don’t touch bikes and the local body shop has quoted £380!!
Can anybody recommend a painter near Thame/High Wycombe area?

Stay as far away as possible from the chips away type places.
That £380 quote isn’t to bad and as long as it’s a body shop you know or have been recommended, then you should get a good job done by them.
How long did you say you’d been riding without incident? 43 years?
If you’ve only ever had 1 whoops in that whole time riding you could say that the £380 it will cost you to repair that tank equates to less than £9 for each year you’ve been riding.

Call Mike at https://triplecpaintwork.co.uk/ and tell him Dibble / Pietro sent you along, he is based in Wokingham, I won't use anyone else for bike paint.

Thats a Moto Guzzi, not some Jap sh**ter ... Have some respect !!! Lol
Is there a difference?
I've used this lot before for a couple of crash helmets and some bodywork, utterly fantastic quality but depending on what needs doing probably too far away

I mean that's not a paint repair is it, you've gouged out the underlying material so it needs to be repaired and smoothed before you even get to paint.
I know, that’s what happens when you hit a brick wall. Luckily my leg and chest took the brunt of the impact 😂

just replace, by the time you've taken the part off you'll be fiting the new one and off riding, not waiitng days for the repairat 155 by two just in case

I’ve used www.tpsmartrepairs.co.uk in Aylesbury for some work on a car.
The quality of work was extremely good and I would use them again.
