Not sure if anyone else is going or fancies it

Arranged by a FB group but thought I'd share on there as I know a few others with 660s and the 1100s

I'll be there... Because eating cake is important to me

O/T, but having never ridden over that way before I visited a few weeks ago and had an enjoyable few hours.

Went from Saffron Walden, down towards Manningtree via Lavenham, then back through Sudbury and Finchingfield.

Some lovely roads and it was great before 0800, soon got busy though.

Not much bike traffic - quite a few around Finchingfield, but that was it.

B*stards! I was supposed to be down that way on my bike on Sunday before we headed in to France next week.

But the b*stard thing is still at the frigging dealers getting fixed again so we are taking the car instead.

Enjoy.

Are they worse than KTMs then? There’s another regular on here whose Aprilia is back at the dealer being fixed. A guy at Brands last year kept having his cut out going around Paddock Hill.

Edit: awful typo

They aren’t no. I’m just having a niggly problem with mine that is throwing an error. The dealer, who is also a KTM dealer, is massively busy at the minute though and they have been struggling to find the time to fit mine in to the workshop.

FWIW we also have a 660 Tuono at home and it’s been 100% reliable.
I also have a 660 Tuareg demo from them at the minute which I have put 700 miles on this week and it’s also been 100% reliable. F*cking uncomfortable though.

Edit:
The V4 is fixed and I’m collecting it tomorrow. Seems like the MAP sensor failed, so that had been replaced now.

I think that KTM Aprilia thing is one that whoever is pro the bike they own is going to favour

I have two mates with 1290s a Gen 2 and Gen3

Gearbox issues on one with it jumping out or not wanting to go in gear (he also owns a zx10r) and said he accepts the gearbox off a bit agricultural. The key less ignition and dash throwing a wobble is another I've seen a few times

On the same token I have 4 others I ride with regular all with the same euro 5 (gen 3 so to speak) 1100 Tuono

Two have done 4th gear and had it lurching on hard acceleration. Both mine and another also had the oil leak from the rocker cover eyelet which I think just about every one I've owned has done

I think they are have their gremlins and issues unless Japanese. I know my mates SF water pump went and leaked everywhere and another triumph 1200 who kept it (one guy on here rejected then got an Aprilia) has had heating issues, electrical and all sorts

Basically they are all as bad as one another!
