well not really - he's same as me about 5'9" and wants a low seated bike so he can get both feet flat on the ground astride the bike. But he doesnt want a cruiser so much as an upright road bike with some weather protection and suitable for commuting. I have solved the issue with a Tiger 800 factory low, but are there other mainstream makers who do similar low models. BMW used to do so but I cant see where they do any longer from their website

I'm same height with a 31" inside leg and was after a comfortable bike with weather protection too.

Tried a lot of bikes in the 900+ category and found them all a bit unwieldy then hopped on a Tracer 7 which worked perfectly for me being light and low.

Ride it for hours at a time now with no need for a break, also use it to commute into central Birmingham where the upright position really helps. Would suggest looking at those.

Need to add a budget really - IE I have an F650 (800) in stock that has a low seat and he'd fit on that but if he's looking for a new bike it's not relevant
