I'm buying a new bike after a couple of years on a CBR650, all should be sorted soon and should hopefully be picking it up before the weekend once PDI is done. The bike is a couple of years old and has the OE Dunlop Roadsmart 2, I didn't like them on the test ride and they seem to be a common criticism so will be getting changed as soon as possible after collection.

What is a decent price now for fitted tyres? I think my S22's were about £330ish when I bought them, the dealer was giving my prices around £380-400 which seems excessive. I know the price of tyres has gone up a bit but for common sizes (120/70 & 180/55) it's more than I was expecting.

I've been thinking about going for either S22's, Road 5 or Metzeler M9RR. Other similar tyres will also be considered if they are in the same bracket.

It’s not easy finding deals on tyres at the moment.

I did see quite a few pair offers on Diablo Rosso 3 in 120/180 for around £250.

Ride in ride out fitting should be possible for £50/£60 for both and loose wheel £15/£20 each.

I’ve just paid £330 supply and fit for a pair of Michelin road 5s. Place I go will order tyres at cost, and charge £50 for fitting with wheels on the bike.
Quite happy with that really.

It really doesn't matter what everyone else pays - call your local places and see what they charge

I've spoken to my local place and the mobile fitter I used last time;

Local
M9 - £362
S22 - £366

Mobile
Road 5 - £355
S22 - £385
M9 - £385

I'll probably try a couple more places but I do place some value on convenience, having them fitted on my driveway while I'm at home working offsets the extra £20.
