When the first plastic licences came out there was stories in the papers about bikers getting their new plastic licence back without the motorbike entitlement.Because of my age(nearly 68) i will soon have to renew my licence and have heard that i will only get a basic driving licence back as we will still be following EU rules. So no 3.5 or 7.5 ton licence tracked vehicles or 16 seat buses. The only one that really concerns me however is my motorcycle entitlement as i did actually pass my bike test back in the mid 70s and am thinking of going back to two wheels.Does anyone know if i will still have my motorcycle licence when i renew?.

Could you not tell them you have lost the licence where they will tell you to either send it to them or destroy it if you find it. When your new licence arrives check the entitlement section and if there’s no bike entitlement on it then get in touch with them and you have your proof on the old licence

That's what I did. If there had been a problem, I would have "found" the missing (paper, in my case) document.
