What are they making triumph engines out of for a crankcase casting to rot away in 7 years ?

I had a number of bolt threads fall off due to corrosion on an 18 month old Street Triple also made in 2016.

The general build on it left me very unimpressed coming from a 2004 GSXR which was significantly higher quality.

What about newer ones? I quite like the look of the 660 sport.

After that short a time it sounds more like a chemical reaction causing the corrosion rather than weathering.

Probably cheaply/inadequately coated steel bolts reacting with alloy cases would be my guess!
