Hi all,

City of Leather use to do a pair of Cargo jeans that zipped off at the bottom to make a pair of long shorts, the bottom half was Kevlar lined still and they had to styles Jeans and "Combat Green"

They stopped doing them a while ago, is there anything similar, standing around at bike shows in the summer with fully lined jeans gets a but warm.

TIA

Undoubtedly, Hill4Leather or Hideout could convert motorcycle jeans into what you want. You could email or phone them to ask for their advice and the likely tailoring cost.

Not the right answer but…
I’ve been wearing my long ,mesh lined, swim shorts under my bike jeans.
Just whip my jeans off when I’m at my destination

Maybe a silly question, but doesn't this introduce a weak point into a piece of protective clothing?

It’s a good question, and I expect the answer is ‘yes’. It’s why I wouldn’t do it, but the OP may feel differently.

Speak to moto legends near guildford, they are brilliant and sell more motorbike jeans than pretty much any dealer in the world.

Unfortunately, MotoLegends doesn’t sell zip-off jeans.

And much as I like their customer service, MotoLegends isn’t trustworthy regarding advice vs commercial interest.

I imagine they could tailor them if they agreed. They offered to put some zips in to a jacket and jeans for free when I enquired about adding them.

Are these lined as I understand that Kevlar jeans with a lining get very hot and sweaty?

I could have done with these at the weekend as my bike jeans were baking hot even though they are single skinned.
