Have decided I don’t want big bikes anymore and went and bought a 125 super cub. Really nice looking bike and the speed doesn’t bother me but I just don’t fit on it (6ft3). So I sat on a Vespa GTS300 and it was very comfortable. Is there anything else I should consider? The idea is to get a small bike so not tempted to ride it often… smile

Have you considered two stroke or electric? Both are more fun in their own way.

Electric was my first choice but don’t want the hassle of a removable battery or pay for a bmw ce04. I have a type2 charger for my EV but no standard 3pin socket

2 stroke could be fun will look into thanks

Vespa's build quality is questionable. They remind me of high end Chinese bikes.

You could try a maxi scooter as anything under 125 will be small.

I have run big Vespas since 2006, I’ve had a 250, 2x 300’s and now a 300hpe, I commute into London all year round.
Reliability so far has been good, build quality is also good.
Comfortable, great mirrors, quick and 80mpg.
I looked at the electric Vespa, it was more money, less range and slower.

The best all rounder.
I also run a motorbike.

Assuming that you don’t want to go up to the T-Max sized maxi scooters then a Vespa GTS300 is an excellent choice, but you might also want to look at a Honda Forza 350 if the more modern styling appeals.

On the Vespa, it’s worth spending a couple of hours doing some additional rust prevention but removing the inside of the leg shield and coating the body liberally with waxoyl or similar, then use ACF 50 on the outside.

Yeah, Italjet Dragster. I'm a bit biased as I have a 180.... Aprilia SR GT looks trick but it's only a 125....

It’s very nice but no underseat storage which isn't ideal

If you have a full licence I see no reason to get a 125. You'll pay a needless premium.

Id have a look at the Forza 350 or Kawasaki J300 both will do a good job keeping your lady bits dry when popping to the shops wink

If you're considering 350 Forza then look at the ADV350 as it has full length front forks.

I was loaned an SH300 and couldn’t get on with it. Odd seating position, weird looks and felt like I had to deliver something everywhere I went!
Like I say I’ve had Vespas since 2006, lovely comfy seat, quick too. Termoscud is added for winter comfort!

Larger engined scooters are a bloody hoot. I Had a Gilera 200 VXR and it was brilliant. But I was constantly chased by the kiddies as it looked identical to the 125 biggrin

I had one of those in 2005, it got nicked!
Still fancy an sp180…
