Have decided I don’t want big bikes anymore and went and bought a 125 super cub. Really nice looking bike and the speed doesn’t bother me but I just don’t fit on it (6ft3). So I sat on a Vespa GTS300 and it was very comfortable. Is there anything else I should consider? The idea is to get a small bike so not tempted to ride it often…
I have run big Vespas since 2006, I’ve had a 250, 2x 300’s and now a 300hpe, I commute into London all year round.
Reliability so far has been good, build quality is also good.
Comfortable, great mirrors, quick and 80mpg.
I looked at the electric Vespa, it was more money, less range and slower.
The best all rounder.
I also run a motorbike.

Assuming that you don’t want to go up to the T-Max sized maxi scooters then a Vespa GTS300 is an excellent choice, but you might also want to look at a Honda Forza 350 if the more modern styling appeals.
On the Vespa, it’s worth spending a couple of hours doing some additional rust prevention but removing the inside of the leg shield and coating the body liberally with waxoyl or similar, then use ACF 50 on the outside.
