Well it's official, what next?

https://www.crash.net/wsbk/news/1026681/1/toprak-r...

It's either got to be: -

WSBK Ducati, maybe taking Rinaldi's seat alongside Bautista (which would be my bet).
WSBK Honda/BMW just for the $$$

MotoGP - Yamaha or maybe a Satellite Ducati (Gresini), but I find this unlikely.

You'd like to think he'd be on a competitive seat somewhere, more so than the Yamaha, so that kinda leaves Rinaldi's seat.

He’s clearly had enough of Bautista blasting past on the Ducati.. I hope he doesn’t just go where the pay check is biggest, I.E. BMW. Toprak still wants to win and needs a competitive bike, so Ducati would be my guess, alongside Alvaro

If you are going to try your hardest and still not win every weekend you may as well go for the maximum paycheck.
Is there any reason BMW cant make a bike as good as yamaha? Im sure the equivelent road bike model BMW is better than a yamaha.
Also found the noise coming out of the motogp yamaha camp uninspiring. They have been very average and would likely blame him if the bike wasn't any good. Latest test where the hint was he wasn't that fast.
Big loss for yamaha.

My bet is BMW. Hopefully he can make it a bit more competitive. Cant see Ducati having him as well as Bautista. Why would they pay for him when AB is a mile ahead?

The rumour is BMW and it isn't like the bike is a bad bike either, just the WSBK one that isn't performing all that well.
Roads? you need the BMW
BSB? Maybe not as dominant but Leon Haslam is right at the front end on a bike he's not had much time to develop
WSBK? Apart from Van Der Mark continually ending up on his head, the bike hasn't done much, maybe it needs Toprak on it to help develop it.

I'd love to see him on the Ducati or even partnering Rea at Kawasaki but judging by the toys out the pram incident over Suzuka a few years back, if he doesn't go to Ducati, that just leaves BMW or Honda

Opps you are right. Its been staring me in the face,Honda. They have a history of paying big to get someone and there is the promise of a works honda motogp ride.

Can see him being appealing to Gresini Ducati to replace either DiGiantonio, who hasn't set the world on fire, and been consistently slower than Alex Marquez this year. Given Alex has just come to the bike and DiGI has had a year, it's not a good look. Particularly as no RedBull issues there either which he would have with Monster Yamaha.

Well Kenan has got his way, Toprak won’t be leaving the WSBK paddock now. Ever.

Mind you I’m not entirely sure there was a route to MotoGP open to him.

My money would be on VDM being out as Scott has almost single handedly been testing parts and set ups and he will have a bias to personal success, would seem foolish to let that go.

I agree. But Scott hasnt helped himself in a PR sense, all the theatrics, punching the bike and shouting and screaming around the garage hardly endears you to people.

I think Scott would like to leave (for something more competitive) and VDM would like to stay but I suspect it'll be the other way around. Scott gets paid a lot and has moaned about the bike. BMW will be paying Toprac a fortune so I can't see them keeping Scott. Wonder where he will go!?!

Might do Scott a favour that as he is ballistic and wasted on that bike ....

Well, the BMW hasn't worked for him. He isn't getting a works Ducati. The Honda just isn't working. Would KRT want him next to Rea or maybe the Yamaha? I'd be a bit worried if I was Scott as even if those teams wanted him they're both playing catch up. Yamaha have choices within their current roster of riders. Love Scott, but he is a bit of a whiner!

If its true its good he is not moving as a new world champion. Nothing worse than that if you are suddenly not winning.
