Being recorded whilst riding...

So I was on the way back from Classics at the Villa this weekend and was heading round the M25 in the middle lane well within the speed limit as variable was up (50mph) and I was in a camera zone.

At one point a blue convertible BMW 3 Series (could have been E36) pulled along next to me and the woman in the passenger seat was recording me on her phone.

I gave her the thumbs up and carried on, but they hung out alongside me still recording.

I gave them a little drive by then pulled in behind them, they pulled across to the middle lane and then went past, recording me. There was no thumbs up or waving from the car. Not that I spent too much time looking at them. I just wanted to mind my own business and get home

This did go on for a bit, until it went NSL from 50 and I dropped 2 cogs and pulled away.

Just an enthusiastic bike fan?

Or something else?

A while ago I would have thought it was a bike fan, but on these days of "you have offended me I will record you.." you never know.

Not quite the same thing, but there was once a passenger of a car who had her feet out of the window of the car in the breeze on a warm summers day whilst in a 50mph bit of the M25.

I gave them a tickle as I rode past.

Would probably get done for that nowadays.

If you had an aftermarket can then it was probably one of the miserable gits on here recording so they could report you
