Hi,

Coming back to biking after 5 years and my leathers no longer fit (who would have thought it!). I've tried a few makes and none are great so probably going to go the made to measure route

Does anyone have personal experience of who I should go with? I've done some research and possibly like the look of ARN Race Leathers but interested in any personal views

Thanks

Where in the uk are you?

North? Then either AM or Scott in Barnard Castle.

South? I think Hideout is who is usually mentioned for down that way?

I'm based in Wilmslow

Barnard Castle would probably be about 2hrs for me to get there

And South West, I'd say BKS made to measure, Exmouth.

As I’m such a weird shape, nothing off the peg fitted me,so had no choice in the matter.

I bought a set of ARN made to measure leathers last year, airbag compatible.
Measurements were done by the Mrs whilst on FaceTime with the owner (Riz) to ensure it was correct.
You then pick your colour and design, which is put in a design image for your approval.
They are then made in Pakistan and posted to you.Took about 3 weeks,I think.
Quality seems top notch, with Kevlar lining and CE2 armour, quality zips etc.

Had a small detour into the gravel at almeria last month, and no visible damage,so tested!

Get across to Mansfield, call the RST race dept and make an appointment, they do M2M in both air bag and non airbag, love mine and worn by numerous racers in multiple paddocks.

I bought my first set of BKS made to measure leathers in 1996. I wore them on just about every ride I did for 20 years. They were still in great order (my son wears them now) but they must have shrunk as they were a little tight.

In 2016 I bought my second set of BKS made to measure leathers and love them as much as the first set.

Threy're expensive but they are the safest, best leathrrs you can buy.

I can't help in recommending any bespoke leathers, but is that really the answer?..5 years out and you're back doing track days etc or just having a bit of fun, the odd hoon and trip?..I'd go quality Gore tex, Richa etc
