Kawasaki H2 (not H2R) potentially very serious problem?
I know there are a few H2 owners on here.
No idea if this is a known problem.
Three bolts inside air filter housing not threadlocked, and if they back out they go though the supercharger impeller.

I’ll ask at work tomorrow (work for a Kawasaki dealer). We’ve got one of the very last H2s on the ramp at the moment for trackday prep so will have a look in the airbox.
I do know the Z H2 and the H2 Sx run completely different superchargers to the H2, so it might be this won’t affect them if the intake system is different.
But I will say, I’ve never heard of any failures before.

Looking at the parts diagrams in the video, it appears that the R does not have the air filter housing bolted to the supercharger. The intake pipe from the nose of the fairing fits directly on to the blower.
The offending bolts are 92154C in this H2 SX diagram:

Two hold plate 13272 in place, and the third is not visible in the illustration.
EDIT: The third - 92153 - is illustrated in this diagram for the Ninja H2:

Only ever seen it reported on the early models, bike in the video is a 2016 example…Kawasaki are on top of it now.
Bloke who does these videos should do more research before he puts them online…
Missed service or recall, then. Bloke who does these videos should do more research before he puts them online…

That's an unusual choice for a trackday bike, but fair play I do know the Z H2 and the H2 Sx run completely different superchargers to the H2, so it might be this won’t affect them if the intake system is different.
